writes and draws a weekly comic for gURL.com, a funky site for teenage girls run by iVillage and owned by NBCUniversal. Every Wednesday her fans from all over the world are treated to a new comic, usually featuring the adventures of her alter ego "Rachel the Great" and her talking cat Tuna. She is championed by teenage girls around the world for "telling it like it is."
Rachel was homeschooled since the fifth grade, and she used her independence to focus her education on art, graphic design, writing, Egyptology and Ornithology. Rachel's love for comics could not be contained. When she was a finalist in the Seventeen sponsored 2003 CHANEL "Colour of the Year" Contest, her entry was in the naturally in the form of a comic.
In her spare time, Rachel runs MangaPunk.com, a news and reviews site frequented by young comickers and manga fans. Currently she lives in the pastoral Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with her chickens, but she plans to one day escape to an urban environment.
